Fit For A King, In Hearts Wake, Like Moths To Flames, Phinehas talk tour pranks, pick-up lines

October 09 2017, 3:55 PM EDT By Maggie Dickman

That's right, folks: Fit For A King and In Hearts Wake will be headed out on tour a month from today with support from Like Moths To Flames and Phinehas. To celebrate this steel-melting lineup, we asked all of these bands about their life on the road. From long-drive guilty pleasure tunes to tour pranks, the dudes on this tour are fearless, fun and not about PSL season. But you'll just have to read on to see what they had to say.

Fanboy for a minute: Who would be your dream band to tour with?
RYAN KIRBY, FIT FOR A KING:
At the moment, I would have to say Architects! Been one of my favorite bands for a long time, and I love Sam [Carter]’s vocals.
JAKE TAYLOR, IN HEARTS WAKE: As I Lay Dying.
CHRIS ROETTER, LIKE MOTHS TO FLAMES: Huge Senses Fail fan. One of the bands that really brought me into music.
BRYCE KELLEY, PHINEHAS: Creed. End of story. We don't joke about Creed.

What food do you miss most when you're on the road?
KIRBY, FIT FOR A KING: I absolutely love my wife’s Chicken Parmesan. It can’t be beat.
TAYLOR, IN HEARTS WAKE: Fresh Salads. Foraged from my backyard
ROETTER, LIKE MOTHS TO FLAMES: Home cooking. I am a country boy at heart, so I always love “Thanksgiving” type meals.
KELLEY, PHINEHAS: Lobster. We miss that all the time though because we are a metal band and can't afford those things.

Which of your lyrics would make for a great pickup line?
KIRBY, FIT FOR A KING: "You will know my misery"
TAYLOR, IN HEARTS WAKE: "I am the bow, and you are the Arrow."
ROETTER, LIKE MOTHS TO FLAMES: Unless you want to be turned down and drinking alone at the end of the night.. None of them haha
KELLEY, PHINEHAS: “Next time you look in the mirror I hope your eyes go blind.”
